Together with Prof. Dr. Ronald Imbihl, the research group studied the complex processes occurring on catalytic surfaces. Their focus was on non-linear dynamics and the development of model systems to gain a better understanding of heterogeneous catalysis. Using simple models and mathematical simulations, they made surface reactions more comprehensible and applicable.
